Downloading &
Merging Data Files
I would recommend downloading & installing
the FREE Zip+ Extractor program to Merge data files directly
with PDS Pro Baseball program (Especially Vista/Win-7 OS users).
It is much easier than have Windows unzip
the file and then you may have to Copy & Paste the data
files to the (C:\PDS Pro Baseball).

This is not a manditory installation - only a helpful
suggestion
Vista and Window
7 users will NOT have
to give permission (full control), to the new PDS Programs,
since they are installed on the "C" drive. This
dramatically makes file merging easier for Vista/Windows7
users.
Here are some diagrams to illustrate
ease of use: This picture will appear when downloading
data files, PbGm.mdb/PbTm.mdb, for baseball. Select file to
be extracted and hit the 'Extract' button at the top of program.
then directly extract to the "PDS Pro Baseball"
folder on the "C" drive. Do this with any
new version of PDS Sports software. (see next diagram
below)
Choose your PDS Pro Baseball folder on the "C" drive
(or any other PDS Sports software) as shown above and EXTRACT
(hit extract button) to that folder, then "overwrite"
existing files (yes to all) There will be no need to merge
data files through the 'Utility' mode - they are directly
put into the program.
If you rather not use this program, you are
sertainly welcome to copy & paste file
to the C:\PDS Pro Baseball folder,
or any other available PDS Sports software.

All data files are 'Season-to-Date' for your convenience
If you don't have JZip Zip file extractor, or something comparable, Vista/Windows7
OS will extract files for you, but usually in some common
program, but try and EXTRACT them directly into the C:\PDS
Pro Baseball folder. You can 'copy &
paste' the files to C:\PDS Pro Baseball folder
(or available PDS Sports programs of your choice). Your program
is ready to use, just make your settings in the 'Handicapping
mode', i.e., Tight, Medium, or Loose for the current year.
